Invariably, many golf shots end up in deep rough both off the tee and around the green. Playing these shots poorly can ruin a good round of golf. So what are some tips for the golfer that struggles with these shots?

First of all, the problem with most shots from the rough is that the ball is usually nestled below the tops of the grass. When striking the shot, grass between the club face and ball reduces the distance the ball will go, also effecting where the ball will go.Never heard of this before? Get up to speed here. The grass can wrap itself around the club head and cause the club to twist right or left. The ball then heads towards the direction the club head was twisted.

The rule of thumb for rough shots is to get the ball back to where the next shot can be cleanly struck; either in the fairway or on the green. To accomplish this, select a club with a lot of loft, play the ball back towards the trailing foot and use a very steep swing angle downward onto the back of the ball. This will gives you a cleaner hit and opportunity to adequately release the ball from the rough.

If you enjoy golf you are aware what an expensive sport it is. Green and cart fees are astronomically high these days not to mention the cost of lunch and beverages at the turn. Golf clubs, shoes, tees and golf balls all add to your cost as well. There are things that you can do to minimize the gouge in your wallet. It is important to select not only the golf ball that is most fitting for what you want to achieve but also one that will keep your costs down.

When selecting the right golf ball, you have to find the kind that not only suits your style of play but will hopefully improve your score. You have to ask yourself, What am I looking to improve? Distance, control or both? The typical ball cannot fix your slice, however it can react in a way to help you achive a better score. Most high end golf balls have a soft urethane cover with a soft dual core center. These golf balls are played mostly by PGA tour players and players that typically shoot in the 70′s. There are also balls that have a hard inner core for distance or a softer core for control. These golf balls also have a different outer layer. Typically they have a Ionomer cover and a dimple design that aerodynamically aides in the distance and control of ball flight.

There are a number of golf ball options that will not break the bank but also improve your score. Comparative shopping is a must before hitting the links and ante up for that quarter skins game.

For the professional players and tournaments, the most used ball is Callaway. However, if you are an amateur, school coach, or own a pro shop and want to have a variety of options, there are many name brand balls which the pros use, while playing on thier own time.

Finding the right golf ball is really an easy task. Purchasing something that is durable quality, fairly priced, and has a brand name to back it up is the kind of golf ball you should look to purchase.Get more information here. http://golfswingandgolfequipment.wordpress.com/2011/07/04/callaway-golf-balls/ Buying a cheaper ball will only cost you more money in the long run. They are more likely to chip and break apart more quickly, in turn forcing you to purchase more golf balls.

Many of the top brands on the market today are: Callaway, Nike, Titleist, and Bridgestone golf balls. These are great quality, durable, and will get the most use from golfers. Although they are more expensive than non-name brand balls, they will last alot longer, and you will get the most out of your game. Purchasing a quality ball is key, trying to save a few dollars on a cheap ball can ruin your clubs, and will end up costing more in the long run.

Golf has become one of the most popular pastimes in America. Each day golf courses and driving ranges welcome golfers as they tee up for 18 holes, or hit a bucket of balls. There are many benefits to playing golf, and it is also a fun way to escape from the grind of everyday life.

Golf is a great way to relieve stress. You may be having a bad week where everything is going wrong, but a few hours on the golf course can allow you to work out your stress and leave the course in a much more relaxed frame of mind. While you are golfing it is easy to push aside thoughts that are bothering you and just focus on your game.

Golf is a great game to play with others. Socializing while golfing is almost as much fun as the game itself. Playing 18 holes of golf will take several hours to finish- this is a great time to spend time with or reconnect with friends and family. Golf can be a great family sport, and the golfer can enjoy playing a round while also spending time with their significant other and children. When you hit the links it is easy to enjoy yourself and forget about the stress and problems of everyday life.
